What’s up Dog?

Since I have been here in the Philippines I have seen a lot of dogs that have been abused and neglected. Society here make it a standard to have a guard dog, but to not take care of them. The majority of the dogs here are skinny to the point where you see their bones, injured where they have a limp trying to run away from you fast moving car, or dirty and bloody. Before I was a dog lover/owner I never realized the numerous amount of animals here in the Philippines that are abused and neglected. The fact that this is a third world country and many people here are in poverty and yet have the need to own a dog and not care for them is disturbing. I am glad I will be going home to my two babies Evo and JJ, and they for sure will be loved by me when I get home.

It is sad seeing and hearing dogs whining because they got run over. Having to struggle to get up so they won’t get hit again. Many owners will honk at the dog but will not wait till they are out of the way to proceed into their garages. It is sad.

Love your dog as if it is your child because I do. Don’t own a dog to prove your status in society but because you want to love and care for one. Pray for all the animals and even those people who are struggling in the world today.

Shake Weight Summer Mix ’10 By Dino Rivera

Shake Weight Summer Mix by Dino Rivera (Spintronix)

Take a listen to this mix by one of my Uncles in Spintronix.

Here’s a mix to accompany your SHAKE WEIGHT workout routine (Oh my!) It’s a collection of remixed versions of top mainstream radio hits featuring artists like Katy Perry,
Ke$ha, Taio Cruz, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga, Train + more! I was able to record it in one take using a pair of CDJs.

Ordering time.

Well I’ve been here in the Philippines now for about 2 weeks and I’ve done quite a bit of online shopping on eBay for camera gear. So once I get home I’ll have a few packages to go through. Also I hopefully will be bringing home some camera straps that I may be selling so keep checking the blog for more info.

I have a ton of other purchases from other places that will serve for some good DIY projects to come.

GoBoda? GO FOR IT

So like I’ve posted before GoBoda bags seem pretty cool, and what made it even cooler was this deal. Now last week it was supposed to go up until the 17th. I made my order and it came in today. Two and a half business days. Pretty good if you ask me. Now they have extended their sale until supplies last, so if you missed out on it go for it! I was not able to bring both bags home today since I rode to work, but I did get a snapshot of them both before I took it home.

Now, they have extended it for the purpose that they are bringing out a v3 Junior boda bag, but heck the jr you get for free is still pretty good. Looking them over they really are built well, practical for an active photographer, and comfortable. With my v3 Boda I ordered the v3 waist system which is fully adjustable and also practical and comfortable. Now I did try them on with very little weight added so give me a few weeks to do a full test and review on them.

But if you are a photographer or VDSLR videographer, and have an array of lenses hop on this deal so that if you have an event you can use the big v3 boda bag to carry everything possible (3-5 PRO lenses) and small family parties have the boda junior. Or sell one to a friend, but do what you wish I recommend doing this deal. Heck if you end up not liking it sell both and make money.

GoBoda GO FOR IT!!!

Toy Story 3

It was dope. I think it is a must see movie for those who grew up and loved Toy Story. Not so much a kid movie but a continuation to the previous movies. Go and watch it. It’s hilarious and one of a kind.

Rentals

Camera gear

Dope rental. Was able to shoot some good 1080p video of RC drifting. Hopefully I’ll have time to edit it and post it up.
Rent Cameras, Lenses, Tripods and Accessories by mail
Borrow Lenses was definitely a good choice for this rental. I was able to choose a lens that I might have interest in Purchasing. Could be found on Amazon anywhere from $600-800. A good beginner lens for a decent price. It beats the Canon L price tag of $1300 for a non IS lens.

AT&T new Data Plans.

So AT&T just announced new pricing for their new customers that want to get Data plans.

More Choice

The new AT&T plans provide large amounts of data to enable people to enjoy their favorite online activities:

DataPlus.
Provides 200 megabytes (MB) of data – for example, enough to send/receive 1,000 emails (no attachments), plus send/receive 150 emails with attachments, plus view 400 Web pages, plus post 50 photos on social media sites, plus watch 20 minutes of streaming video – for just $15 per month.** This plan, which can save customers up to 50 percent off their wireless data charges, is designed for people who primarily like to surf the web, send email and use social networking apps. If customers exceed 200 MB in a monthly billing cycle, they will receive an additional 200 MB of data usage for $15 for use in the cycle. Currently, 65 percent of AT&T smartphone customers use less than 200 MB of data per month on average.

DataPro.
Provides 2 gigabytes (GB) of data – for example, enough to send/receive 10,000 emails (no attachments), plus send/receive 1,500 emails with attachments, plus view 4,000 Web pages, plus post 500 photos to social media sites, plus watch 200 minutes of streaming video – for $25 per month.** Should a customer exceed 2 GB during a billing cycle, they will receive an additional 1 GB of data for $10 for use in the cycle. Currently, 98 percent of AT&T smartphone customers use less than 2 GB of data a month on average.

Tethering.
Smartphone customers – including iPhone customers – who choose the DataPro plan have the option to add tethering for an additional $20 per month. Tethering lets customers use their smartphones as a modem to provide a broadband connection for laptop computers, netbooks or other computing devices. Tethering for iPhones will be available when Apple releases iPhone OS 4 this summer.
With the new wireless data plans, pricing for a smartphone voice and data bundle now starts at just $54.99 per month for an individual plan, or $24.99 per month for an additional line on a FamilyTalk plan, $15 per month less than the price of the previous entry level bundle.

For new iPad customers, the $25 per month 2 GB plan will replace the existing $29.99 unlimited plan. iPad customers will continue to pre-pay for their wireless data plan and no contract is required. Existing iPad customers who have the $29.99 per month unlimited plan can keep that plan or switch to the new $25 per month plan with 2 GB of data.

Now they did mention that 98% of smartphone users do not exceed 2gb anyways so that this change in price might be good. For most of us just tweeting, checking our no new messages emails, and searching the web lightly as we wait for our girlfriends or wive’s to finish shopping the DataPlus plan might work out just great. For those of us that really just spend all our times on our smartphones, well then DataPro it is. However for me I think I will keep paying my $29.99 unlimited access for the iPad because 2gb cap is considered 200minutes of streaming. And with Netflix on my iPad, that’s about 2 or 3 movies. The price on tethering is small but not worth it for me, I already have an iPad so I will not need to attach my iPhone to my MacBook Pro any longer. Go figure if you want to save some money go for the change or if you do not want to risk getting overcharged stick to what you got.
